Jeanne Bencich Nations is an author, wild horse advocate, photographer, and passionate voice for the preservation of America’s wild horses and burros. Her work is rooted in firsthand experience observing wild horses in the American West, particularly in the Great Basin region of Nevada. Through her writing, photography, and advocacy, Jeanne brings attention to the beauty, resilience, and ecological importance of these animals while exposing the harsh realities of government roundups, holding pens, and policies that threaten their survival.
